Daniel Smith NDAT

Architectural Designer and Student at School of Architecture

Born and raised in Hamilton, Daniel studied as a graphic designer before turning his focus to architecture. His career began as an architectural technician, working on a diverse range of projects, from school, government and commercial work to high-end residential. It was here he acquired the passion for design and architecture, subsequently moving to Auckland to pursue a Bachelor of Architecture.

ICR Consulting has opened new opportunities and challenges to Daniel, letting him develop and expand his knowledge of architecture's technical and design aspects. Having gained his NDAT, he is also studying part time.

Last year he had the opportunity to use his skill to benefit those less fortunate, working with Habitat for Humanity to help rebuild Samoa after the devastating tsunami. He says his work in Samoa has opened his eyes to ways we can all make a difference to the world.

Besides his passion for architecture, Daniel loves travelling and outdoor sports, including snowboarding, wakeboarding and kite surfing.
